How to update the T-Mobile Galaxy S2 T989 to Android 4.1.2 UVMC6 Jelly Bean firmware:
- Download the UVCM6 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware from HERE or from HERE. Save the file on your PC.
- Extract the contents of this zip and save them in a single folder on your PC. You will get a '.tar.md5' file and you shouldn't extract it any further.
- Download Odin 3.04 zip from HERE. Extract the contents of the zip when the download is complete. The exe of ODIN is the tool you're gonna use in order to update your smartphone.
- Power off the smartphone.
- Next, plug the USB cable into your PC only. Then, press simultaneously Volume Up and Volume Down buttons of your phone and then plug the USB cable into the phone also. Now you can release the volume buttons. When you'll see the Warning alert you need to press Volume Up and continue to Download Mode.
- Launch ODIN executable now. Odin will say 'Added!!' and you can continue to the next step.

· 4 years agoI know im a little late to the party but is there anyway to do this without pkugging it into a coumputer? for some reason my phone will not recogize that its plugged in but i do know you can load thinds from a micro sd
Nice article. I went from AOKP 4.2.2 back to stock bits to restore the wifi calling. Everything went OK with odin, but got stuck with Samsung animation on final boot. Had to clear the cache to fix that, then it was fine. The wipe data/factory reset option wasn't enough to get the job done.

Now phone is asking for firmware recovery mode.. HELP!
· 4 years agoRoot Download For Pc
Hey man don't know if you still want help since it's been a year but I'll help ya anyway cause I found out how to do it on my phone and I'm really happy. This same thing happened to me so I disconnected the cable while it was in download mode. When you plug it back in it should say 'recovery went wrong and need to install from Kies' or something like that. Then if you do not already have Kies, install it. Ablebits auto bcc. Open up Kies and go up to tools at the top. Under tools go to Firmware Upgrade and Initialization. Your phone should still be plugged in at this point. Finally just follow the steps and you should be good to go. Good Luck! :)
